About this file
This Scope of Work document outlines a procurement by the State of Utah Department of Corrections for the Central Utah Correctional Facility (CUCF) located in Gunnison, Utah to replace two industrial washing machines. The facility requires two new 160-pound capacity washing machines with specifications equivalent to the UniMac 160lb Pocket Hardmount Washer-Extractor, including hardmount frames, minimum 300 G-Force extraction capability, UniLinc Touch control interfaces, advanced rinse technology, 440-480V three-phase electrical power, and electric heating. The vendor is responsible for removing the existing equipment (currently over 10 years old) and transporting it outside the facility for surplus processing, as well as delivering and installing the new machines in the same locations within the 19-foot by 42-foot laundry room. Installation services include placement, leveling, grout work, drilling and anchoring, water and electrical hookup, drainage connection, startup, and user instruction. All personnel entering the secure prison facility must pass a background check and present valid government-issued identification. The project must commence immediately upon equipment receipt and be completed by June 30, 2026.
The project budget is approximately $83,000.00, with the contract to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The vendor must guarantee pricing for project completion and provide employee training, warranty information, and contact details as part of deliverables. Evaluation criteria include communication, timeliness, safety compliance, and customer service. The contractor is required to submit a detailed project timeline as part of their proposal. Reference documentation includes facility floor plans and photographs of current equipment dimensions and rear connections showing water hoses, ductwork, and drainage pipes.
