The project encompasses aerial seeding across 12,689 acres in Iron, Garfield, Washington, Beaver, and Kane Counties, Utah, with 14 distinct project areas including Sandstone Butte Bullhog, Big Flat Bullhog, East Paragonah Chaining, and others. The contract will be awarded based on bid price, with a 30-calendar day performance window from the official Notice-to-Proceed, and requires the contractor to provide labor, equipment, and materials to seed specified areas using precise seed mixes and application rates ranging from 9.55 to 25.46 pounds per acre.
The total project budget is $184,000, with bids to be submitted on a cost-per-acre basis for each location and awarded on a total project basis. Bidders must provide at least two references demonstrating relevant experience within the past three years and will be evaluated on their ability to meet equipment and experience requirements. The contract stipulates that the contractor is responsible for seed transportation from the DWR's seed warehouse in Ephraim, UT, GPS-guided application with 100% coverage documentation, and compliance with specific seeding specifications. The solicitation emphasizes the contractor's responsibility for quality control, equipment protection, and timely completion, with potential for work suspension if quality standards are not met.
