About this file
The document is a Design Checklist for the Dunham Recreation Center Renovation Project, prepared by the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC). The comprehensive checklist provides detailed specifications and requirements for a comprehensive facility renovation, covering multiple aspects of construction including general conditions, site work, architectural elements, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and specialized recreational facility features. The project involves separate bids for General Construction, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical, which will be assigned to a General Contractor upon bid award.
The design checklist emphasizes specific technical requirements such as utility management, site preparation, building systems, interior finishes, and equipment specifications. Key focuses include using LED lighting, providing non-proprietary building control systems, installing durable and low-maintenance materials, and meeting Cincinnati Recreation Commission's specific operational needs. The document mandates detailed coordination with CRC on elements like exercise equipment layout, kitchen design, signage, security systems, and specialized recreational features like gym curtains, scoreboards, and day-use lockers. The checklist also notes that no design change orders will be allowed for items not initially included in the bid documents, underscoring the importance of comprehensive initial planning.
