About this file

This is an Addendum #1 to Request for Bid 26-10203 issued by Rockwood R-6 School District in Missouri on July 13, 2026, clarifying specifications for the procurement of one (1) new Heavy Duty 4x4 Chassis Crew Cab Truck. The addendum addresses six key questions submitted by bidders and provides the district's responses to resolve specification ambiguities. The district confirmed acceptance of 2027 model year vehicles, approval of remote start functionality through Ford's integrated app and 5G modem rather than aftermarket solutions, and requirements to include rear camera, prep kit, and trailer brake controller in bids. Additionally, the district mandated inclusion of the XL Chrome package with a preference to delete the rear sliding window if possible, and specified that the engine block heater must be included in all bids.

The district clarified that truck body installation will be handled separately from this bid and does not fall within the scope of the current RFB. No pricing terms, set-aside provisions, funding sources, or contract award dates are specified in this addendum document. The document serves solely as a clarification mechanism to standardize bidding specifications and ensure all submitted proposals address identical vehicle configurations and features.

Request for Bid: 26-10203 – 2026 Heavy Duty Truck

Addendum # 1

The Request for Bid (RFB) for the above-named project is amended as noted in this Addendum.

This Addendum consists of questions and Rockwood School District’s responses.

Question and Answer

Question 1: Is it okay that it will be a 2027 model year? Ford has closed the order bank for 2026 already.

Response: Yes, the 2027 model is acceptable.

Question 2: Remote start is not available as a factory option, however it will have the 5g modem which would allow for the Ford app to be integrated and utilized, thus giving a remote start option on the cell phone app. Is that okay? or are you wanting an aftermarket remote start bid as well?

Response: The remote start option offered through the Ford app and the 5g modem meets the requirement.

Question 3: Are you wanting it bid with the rear camera and prep kit as well as are you wanting the Trailer brake controller?

Response: The rear camera and prep kit as well as the trailer brake controller should be included in your bid.

Question 4: For 2027 the XL Chrome package includes the rear sliding window, the bid says directly that you are wanting the fixed rear window and the XL Chrome package.

Shall we bid with the Chrome Package?

Response: The XL Chrome package must be included in your bid. If possible, the District prefers to delete the rear sliding window.

Question 5: Will you accept a 2027? Are you wanting to add the engine block heater?

Response: Yes, the 2027 model is acceptable, and the engine block heater should be included.

Question 6: Do you wish to have a truck body installed on the F550 truck or will that be taken care of separate of this bid?

Response: The truck body will be taken care of separately from this bid.
