About this file

This document is Attachment B, a minimum specification document for a TS2 Type 1 Traffic Signal Controller Cabinet and Controller procurement. The specification details requirements for a NEW Econolite Cobalt controller with data key and Ethernet connection, focusing on technical and manufacturing standards for traffic signal equipment. The document mandates that the manufacturer must be ISO 9001-2021 Registered and certified in IPC "Class II" Electronics standards, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and employee training.

The warranty terms are comprehensive, providing a 2-year manufacturer warranty against mechanical and electrical defects from the date of shipment. The warranty covers full repair or replacement of failed items or cabinet systems, with specific response time requirements of 4 hours for on-site service personnel when the department does not have spare inventory of the failed component. Second-party extended warranties are explicitly not acceptable, and all defects must be corrected by the manufacturer or supplier at no cost to the owner. The specification also notes that the controllers must be the manufacturer's latest model and design, and that the location of parts outlets may be used in evaluating bid proposals.
