About this file

This document is a Packaging Requirements report for multiple National Stock Numbers (NSNs) associated with a federal contract opportunity for remanufacturing aircraft engine components. The packaging instructions uniformly require compliance with MIL-STD-2073-1 (Military Packaging) and MIL-STD-129 (Military Marking) standards, with specific emphasis on Wood Packaging Material (WPM) regulations. The document mandates that all wooden packaging materials must be constructed from debarked wood, heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes, and certified by an agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee.

The packaging requirements cover several specific item NSNs, including 2840012057700NZ, 2840014265477NZ, and others, with consistent instructions for shipping container marking. Containers must include standard military markings and additional requirements such as unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) names, and model numbers. The document is associated with a solicitation (FA812125R0009) for remanufacturing F100-220 engine components, issued by the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center, with the packaging specialist being Aaron D. Mallory, contactable at 405-582-9768.
