About this file
This document is a Packaging Requirements form for multiple military supply items, specifically detailing packaging and marking instructions for three different part numbers: 2840009737RV, 2840DTH230118RV, 2840010991805RV, 2840OAH240009RV, and 2840005296202RV. The document mandates strict packaging standards in compliance with MIL-STD-2073-1 (Military Packaging) and MIL-STD-129 (Military Marking), with specific requirements for wood packaging material to prevent invasive species transmission.
The packaging instructions require heat-treated wooden materials (heated to 56 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes), debarked wood, and certification by an American Lumber Standards Committee-accredited agency. Shipping containers must be marked according to military standards, including additional requirements like unit serial numbers and original equipment manufacturer details. The document was generated on 15 November 2023 by the 406 SCMS/GULAA office, with Verlisher M. Strain listed as the packaging specialist, and applies to multiple items with varying unit pack weights, dimensions, and packaging specifications.
