About this file
This document is a Truth in Negotiation Certification form issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for professional services contracts. The form is required for any lump-sum or cost-plus-a-fixed fee professional services contract that exceeds the threshold amount specified in Section 287.017, Florida Statutes for Category Four.
The certification requires the consultant to affirm that the wage rates and factual unit costs supporting the compensation for the project are accurate, complete, and current at the time of contracting. The consultant agrees that the original agreement price can be adjusted to exclude any significant sums if the Department determines the price was increased due to inaccurate, incomplete, or non-current wage rates or unit costs. Such adjustments must be made within one year following the end of the contract, which is defined as the date of final billing or acceptance of work by the Department, whichever is later.
