Will the VA allow the Site Superintendent for this project to also serve in the roles of CQC and SSHO, or will either of those positions require a separate individual?

VA to respond (MA Arch) Contractor to provide certifications for both roles, the basement flood project is small in nature and if the supervisor is both qualified and certified in both roles then the VA is to review and approve. (VA).

Section 02 82 11 – Traditional Asbestos Abatement was published with only the Sub-part headings and not the entire wording for the Sub-parts. Will the VA issue this Specification in its entirety?

MA Arch provided the full section in deliverables. VA to review what was published.

The entire wording of the sub-parts specifications may not have been included in the Bid solicitation, VA will send this to Contracting officer and discuss at the bid site meeting, (VA).

Will the Govt allow this bid to be submitted via email? After reviewing the other remediation project for this facility (4th Floor, 36E776-18-B-0089), we noted that the project is to be submitted electronically. It would make the logistics of the bid submission significantly easier and more competitive if we can do the same for this project.

Yes. There will be an amendment to the solicitation allowing electronic bids to Brent.Barnum@va.gov.

Drawing GC-001, HM-2 and HM-3 call for 4’ min. clearance for corridor B140 after hard barrier. However, corridor is only 6’ wide, this would leave a work area less than 2’ wide with the hard barrier. This is not realistic. Is it possible to change clearance to 3’ or completely close hallway?

Minimum clearance width can be reduced to 36”.

(VA).

Drawing HM-2 places 3-stage decon next to electrical control panels. Can you confirm this location is correct?

Phasing is diagrammatic in nature and must be further developed by the GC with the VA's concurrence but the intent is that there needs to be 3-stage decon for each isolated phase of work to be protected. GC has discretion to develop phasing schedule and location of protected area entrance.
