Answer: There are no separate billing events. Prices should be within the CLIN.

39. Topic: Cross-Cutting

Reference: PWS Section 5.3.6.31

Questions: PWS Section 5.6.3.31 states that cross-cutting is required. Can the Government confirm whether crosscutting is required between headstone columns, perpendicular to headstone rows, or only in open areas? If crosscutting is required between headstone columns, how many times per year is it required? This information is critical as the cost to cross-cut between headstone columns is substantial.

Answer: Crosscut the turf between headstones every other mowing cycle by mowing perpendicular to the gravesite rows, (i.e., Alternate between cutting parallel with and perpendicular to the gravesite rows). For turf with upright headstones, mowers must pass between the headstones without damaging them. Cut turf in rows between headstones in the opposite direction from the preceding mowing cycle to prevent rutting.

40. Topic: Grass Clippings
