About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a site visit for a federal construction project to renovate an EHRM Training Room and administrative support space at a Veterans Affairs facility in Leavenworth, Kansas. The project number is 589A6-21-702. Questions addressed curtain wall specifications, whether the site superintendent and competent persons could fulfill certain safety roles, the use of a full-time site safety and health officer, staging and storage areas, and which party would bear the cost of submittal exchanges using a file transfer protocol system. Answers indicated that a curtain wall specification section was omitted but the number was provided, that the site superintendent could fulfill certain roles according to specifications, that the site safety and health officer must be full time, that staging would be near specified garages and materials stored inside must be in designated construction areas, and that the general contractor would bear the cost of submittal exchanges.
