About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to solicitation 36C26325Q0192 for ammunition supply to VA Law Enforcement Officers within Network 23. The amendment clarifies manufacturing requirements for training ammunition in CLINs 0003 and 0004, specifying that training ammunition may be of any brand produced by a reputable manufacturer meeting Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) specifications (SAAMI Z22939-2022), with reloaded ammunition prohibited.

The IDIQ contract covers both duty and training ammunition for a one-year period from 01/13/2025 to 01/12/2026, with delivery to eight VA facilities across VISN 23. The requirements include duty ammunition (9mm handgun and .223/5.56mm long gun) which must be brand-name only from specified manufacturers, and training ammunition (9mm handgun and .223/5.56mm long gun) which can be any brand meeting SAAMI specifications. Total estimated quantities are: 29,000 rounds of handgun duty ammunition, 24,000 rounds of long gun duty ammunition, 176,000 rounds of handgun training ammunition, and 46,000 rounds of long gun training ammunition. The contract has a price ceiling of $200,000 with a guaranteed minimum value of $2,000, and individual delivery orders cannot exceed $50,000.
