Questions and Answers 36C26323Q0304 Des Moines Onsite Dialysis
I have a few questions regarding the dialysis machines used for the VA patients.
Is there a specific requirement for the type of machines and equipment to be used? Or is this up to the discretion of the contractor?
All equipment must be modern and technologically up to date.
Also, who will provide hemodialysis orders for the patients?
We have a nephrology contract to provide orders.
Will Nephrologist be available via call whom the Registered Nurse will contact for orders during treatments?
Yes.
Approximately how many patients are expected to receive treatments throughout a week?
Overall treatment average is between 3-7.
How many dialysis stations will be available?
All inpatient rooms are dialysis capable and there are two dedicated stations in the CLC.
