The SAVAHCS ALS study requires subcellular localization of proteins of interest and fluorescence microscopes are a method of choice for such characterization. The spinning disk confocal imaging system must provide imaging results with optical depth, 3D imaging reconstruction, and superior resolution.
Contractors must provide a compact, high-performance widefield and spinning disk confocal imaging system designed for advanced fluorescence microscopy, live-cell imaging, and high-resolution optical research. Featuring precision optics, seamless integration with modern microscope platforms, and high-sensitivity fluorescence detection, the system must ensure superior image quality, sensitivity, and speed for cutting-edge research applications.
The spinning disk confocal imaging system must be compatible with the current existing microscope operating via Nikon’s proprietary NIS-Elements software. The full enclosure incubator currently on the microscope is retrofitted to allow physical clearance for the Cicero 50/250 UM with Celesta 5CH to be added.
This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source.
