B.2 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

Lead Aprons

· Must include Lead Aprons, Thyroid Shields, Lead Kilts, Lead Vests, and Hanger Rack.

· Must include waist adjustable aprons for both male and female to provide increase comfort and added support

· Must come with a premium material similar to vinyl for added longevity and proper sterilization purposes.

· Must come with frontal aprons that provide coverage to the front of the body from collar down to knee length for maximum protection.

· Must have Lead Kilt and Vest set options for full body protection for high radiation environments where backside protection is necessary.

· Must be in two thickness constructions: .35mm and .5mm to be exact as this is required for safety specifications.

· Must offer a male wrap around option designed for flexible comfort, and lumbar support with maximum protection.

· Must come with a back support buckle for effective back support and reducing fatigue.

· Must have option of attached belt with Velcro closure to provide easy on and off convenience as well as removable belt with buckle enclosure.

· Must come with two sleeves compatible with aprons for added protection to the arm.

· Must offer color customizable embroidered monograms and Velcro nametags options to help distinguish end users. Customizations must be confirmed with station POC prior to manufacturing as details shall be provided upon award.

· Must come with standard manufacture warranty as the government does not accept extended warranties which require advance payment.

Thyroid Shields

· Must have thyroid shield protection option for minimizing radiation exposure.

· Must come with a premium material similar to vinyl for added longevity and proper sterilization purposes.

Arpon Hangers and Storage Rack

· Must be suitable for lead apron storage.

· Must be a straight bar portable rack used for lead aprons storage purposes.

· Portable rack must be able to accommodate a minimum of 40 regular hangers to hang a minimum of 40 lead aprons.

· Portable rack must have large heavy-duty locking swivel casters allowing for easy transportation when needed.

· Portable rack must have lockable casters for when not in use.

· Must come with a minimum of 20 regular lead apron hangers.
