About this file

This document is a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source a contract for GE Healthcare AISYS CS2 Anesthesia Full Maintenance services. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21 intends to award a one-year, firm-fixed-price contract directly to GE Healthcare Inc. for preventative maintenance and software updates, citing that no other authorized third parties can provide these specific services. The solicitation (36C26125P1257) requires interested parties to submit a Market Research Questionnaire by 3:00 PM PST on 07/15/25 to Rachael Becker at Rachael.Becker@va.gov, with the potential for a sole-source award if no viable alternative responses are received.

Key contract details include a one-year service period with no option periods, targeting maintenance for the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible, and the government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the requirement based on responses received. The contract will be awarded under FAR 6.302-1 authority, with the primary justification being that GE Healthcare is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's specific maintenance and software update requirements for the AISYS CS2 Anesthesia system.
