36C26124Q0072; SNVHCS Las Vegas Home Oxygen Supplies and Services Final Questions & Answers

Question Response

It is mentioned “Initial setup or every 6 months” – Is this to be performed on every oxygen patient at initial setup and then again every 6 months? Or is this to be performed on select patients identified by the VA?

Should happen at initial set AND every 6 months per the contract

Is this service currently being performed by the incumbent contractor? Or is this a new requirement?

This should already be happening by the contractor.

Will the contractor receive an order to perform this service? Or will the contractor be responsible for scheduling this service for each patient every 6 months?

Contractor is responsible.

Since this is Clinical Respiratory Services, and the solicitation states that contractors must “meet or exceed Joint Commission standards for all services provided herein,” you are stating that contractors must be accredited in Clinical Respiratory Services. Is it the intent of the government that contractors meet or exceed Joint Commission standards for all services provided herein, including Clinical Respiratory Services?

Contractors should meet or exceed The Joint Commission standards including respiratory services.
