Questions: Solicitation 36C26123Q1049
1. Page 4 indicates only one year period of performance with no options, but page 54 says pricing evaluation will include options. Will this contract include 4 option years like the vast majority of VA valet parking contracts? This will be a base year only contract, the option refers to FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services (typical up to 6months).
2. Please confirm the expected hours of operation. Page 5 says 0730-1600 and page 13 says 700a-500p. The correct tour of duty is 7:00am – 5:00pm
3. Page 5 gives a range of 150-450 vehicles per day, which is very large and difficult to support on a firm fixed price contract. Can you provide more precise vehicle counts and a smaller range? Do volumes vary by day of the week? This number varies, but the averages 200 vehicles per day.
4. Will the holiday list on page 13-4 be updated to include Juneteenth? Yes, Juneteenth is observed, as it is a recognized Federal Holiday.
5. The designated parking on page 6 indicates spaces for #1 west (main), east, and ER locations, but page 5 para 1.2 says 'the valet drop off area' indicating only one valet location. Will there be one or three valet stations? There are three valet locations.
6. Page 54 requests 'Names and resumes of employees that are anticipated to fulfill the services.' This requirement is discriminatory in favor of the incumbent or other local companies that have staff in Las Vegas. Any qualified and competent contractor will be able to hire the team needed to provide the services. Can this requirement be removed? If you don’t have dedicated employees to provide resumes, a detail plan of how you will fill the positions and be ready to perform the required services by the start date is acceptable.
7. How many lanes will be dedicated to valet use at each valet station? One lane is dedicated per valet stations.
8. What other vehicles and traffic are present at each valet station? Only Patient parking traffic on West, and the occasional VA Police patrols and Public Bus transportation for the East.
9. How many lanes are available for non-valet use at each valet station? There is only one lane available for non-valet traffic.
10. What is the designated location for each valet station? Please provide a map. VASHNS Parking Lot Map is attached
11. What is the exact location of the designated parking spaces? Please provide a map. VASHNS Parking Lot Map is attached
