Question 1: We were wondering if there was any incumbent information for this project?
Answer 1: The last contract, VA261-14-D-0165, was awarded to Oceanside Laundry LLC DBA Campus Laundry.
Question 2: Is there one COG linen pool for all locations or are there multiple COG linen pools that span across multiple locations? If multiple COG linen pools, please provide the number of linen pools and what locations are associated with each?
Answer 2: There are only three Customer Owned Goods (COG) pools: Martinez, Mather, and San Francisco (each have separate linen pools and inventories). See below:

Question 3: Pickup and delivery locations per Technical Exhibit A differs from Solicitation page 15, 1.3 Place of Performance. Which schedule represents the actual physical locations that we would deliver to?
Answer 3: The technical exhibit A was incorrect. See attached revised Technical Exhibit A.
Question 4: Does service need to be provided from one laundry facility or can service be provided from multiple Contractor’s facilities based on closest proximity (linen pools would not be split between plants)?
Answer 4: Yes, it is acceptable to split between plants based on plant location.
Question 5: Can an extension be granted to May 24th, due to numerous requests needing to be fulfilled in a short time (i.e., coordination of scheduling visits to numerous locations)?
Answer 5: We are not able to extend the quote due date at this time.
Question 6: The 8% weight loss is not the industry standard. We are requesting to be in line with the industry standard of 8% - 15%.
Answer 6: This question is referring to the Performance Work Statement 18.2(e). ALM-Association of Linen Management states that “The national averages for clean to soiled linen are typically between 6-15%”. We plan to change the weight loss from 8% to 10% in the PWS. See attached referenced article.
Question 7: What types of items do we send in under special handling?
Answer 7: Surgical gowns, surgical/SPS towels and new employee uniforms that require labeling.
Question 8: Do you launder your Privacy Curtains? Are they all the same size?
Answer 8: Yes, we launder privacy curtains, but they are not the same sizes. San Francisco has four sizes: 186 X 84, 146 X 89, 67 X 75 and 65 X 90. Northern California has eight sizes: 90x96, 72x96, 67x96, 67x90, 72x84, 72x90, 108x96 and 140x80.
Question 9: Do you have just one uniform? How do they come back from laundry?
Answer 9: No, several services have uniforms i.e., EMS, Logistics, Nutrition & Food and Engineering. Currently the uniforms come back on hangers and that is how we would like it to continue.
Question 10: Do you want your scrubs rolled?
Answer 10: Yes.
Question 11: Linen is only delivered and picked up at this one San Francisco site? How does if go to other sites?
Answer 11: Yes, arrangements are made with other sites and they bring soiled linen to facility and clean linen goes back with them usually by courier service.
