B.4 STATEMETN OF WORK (SOW)
1. Contract Title: Patient Warming System – Brand Name or Equal to Mistral Warming System
2. Scope: This is an equipment purchasing request. The vendor will provide the expendable equipment needed, which is compatible with the consumable supplies already on hand. As part of the procurement, the vendor will also provide warranty support to the equipment.
3. Background/description:
The service line was recently notified by Puget Sound AUS leadership that VISN 20 contracting would not approve continued use of mechanical warmers/blowers under a consignment/no-cost arrangement. The facility uses compatible consumable blanket and tubing on multiple patient care units throughout the Seattle campus, daily. If we are no longer able to keep the equipment under a consignment arrangement, our remaining option is to purchase these. The vendor who provided the equipment under consignment has requested to coordinate return of all blowers, so an emergency purchase is needed to ensure continuity of availability of this patient care item.
