a. The Government is providing answers to solicitation questions.

Solicitation Questions:

1. Is there a list of all the waste and approximate quantity (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and pharmaceutical waste) that can be shared to help in submitting costs or any historical data regarding any and all waste at all the locations?

Government Response:

There is no Contract that was previously awarded. This has been put on Purchase Card and is a new Requirement.

For the CBOC’s and PTOC’s, the 3 wastes they generate are alcohol hand sanitizer, Cavicide, Caviwipes & AF3 wipes. All of it would fill a single 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste per year. However, the item that will be added to their waste will be the Cactus Smart Sink cartridges which the facility will place and begin using this year. A single cartridge would be generated once every 365 days from the date that they place the first liquid pharmaceutical waste in the cartridge. That would be a maximum of 6 per year or an extra 5 gallon container per year.

At the main facility going back a year with the hazardous waste manifests from the last hazardous waste pick-up on

08/28/2020:

2-55 gallon drums of diesel/gasoline mix

2-55 gallon drums of used oil

01/02/2020

30 pounds flammable liquids

20 pounds Oxidizing Liquid, Corrosive

15 pounds Aerosols, Flammable

100 pounds Corrosive Liquid

11/19/19

300 pounds of medicine, liquid, toxic, pharmaceuticals

10/30/19

10 pounds corrosive liquids, basic organic

10 pounds corrosive liquids flammable

10 pounds poisonous solid organic

10 pounds toxic liquids organic

10 pounds environmentally hazardous substance, solid

10 pounds acetic acid solution, more than 10% but not more than 50% by mass

10 pounds disinfectant, liquid, corrosive (quarternary ammonia compounds)

75 pounds material not regulated by DOT

10/01/19

2.5 pounds gas soaked pads

This doesn’t include the 10-55 gallon or so bags of laboratory chemistry cartridges that are new to the waste stream that have been generated since the facility ended use of the card and the 1200 -1500 pounds of waste generated since the last pick up on 01/02/2020 - 08/28/2020. There has also been 3-4, 5 gallon pails of glue, and 30-40 pounds of greases and oils. Also, there will be Cactus Smart Sink cartridges generated from the clinical spaces at the facility. New wastes will be added, as I identify new waste streams, during the hazardous waste profile identification process.
