Pamela Barnes Contracting Officer
1. Who is the incumbent? Alcazar Trades, Inc. under contract 36C25919C0195
2. What is the annual value of the existing contract? Total contract value is $2,828,952.64
3. How can a site visit be arranged? Site visits can be arranged and are generally coordinated by Contracting and the Service if time allows. Please see details below.
4. Can floor plans be provided? - No, floor plans are not provided. Security and Safety reasons.
5. Must the contractor provide consumables? If so, what is the occupancy (FTE)? – Please reference the PWS regarding consumables as what is provided by the VA is covered.
6. Why is this contract limited to 10 months, including the option? Is this intended to be a bridge contract? What is planned following this period? – Length of contract is funding related. Plan following this period is TBD.
7. Is the intention to provide an on-site day porter presence, or sufficient personnel to accomplish the SOW? Contractor should provide adequate personnel to meet the requirements established in the PWS.
8. What is the significance of Item 52.217.8 in the Cost Schedule? The cost of the six month option is required because the program office anticipates the need for these services to continue due to a shortened base period. These costs are required for evaluation and fiscal planning purposes.
9. Do you have an idea on total daily man hours? This is for the Contractor to determine based on their estimated manpower, quotable sq. footage and PWS requirements.
10. Are the times listed on page 5 the hours of staff onsite? Or is that the "window" of time we need to complete the work? Rocky Mountain Regional VA hours; 1st (0700-1530hrs) 2nd Shift (1500-2330hrs); Fisher House; 0700-1530hrs; Denver Domiciliary (0600-2030hrs).
11. Regarding floor work, we would need tile Sq Ft total, Carpet Sq Ft total and the like. Generally speaking in a hospital setting they would want tile buffing every 2 weeks, strip and wax every 3 to 6 months, and deep tile and grout "turbo" cleaning done a few times per year. These are priced at different rates. Can you advise? Please reference PWS. Stripping and waxing is not completed by the Contractor. Burnishing is completed as per the PWS. Burnishing equipment is provided. Tile and grout cleaning is required but I’m not sure I understand what “turbo” cleaning means. Please reference the requirements established within the PWS. Unfortunately, sq. ft. totals for flooring type are not available.
12. What building is the DAT 3 Surgical Service area lounge in? Bldg. D 3rd floor What building is the service level in? The service level is similar to a basement level. It listed all of the other spaces to a building on page 6 of the solicitation. – Not sure what the question is here.
13. Can you provide a list of floor surface types i.e. (carpet, tile etc.) and the square footage of each? LVT, carpet, tile, and terrazzo are the majority flooring types utilized within the main facility. VCT, carpet and tile are utilized in most of the off-site locations. List of square footage of each is not available.
14. Can you provide an interior floor plan layout? - No, floor plans are not provided. Security and Safety.
15. How many units are associated with the Fisher House? 1 Bldg. 16 suites and common areas.
16. How many resident units are associated with the Denver Domiciliary? 36 Units and common areas
17. Square footage breakdown of 1st shift and 2nd shift Rock Mountain Regional VA? 40% square footage on 1st shift and 60% square footage on 2nd shift for RMR; Fisher House only 1 shift and Dom will be a 50/50 split between 0600-2030hrs.
