Mary Emily Good Contracting Officer

1. How many Dry Pipe Valves are included in this SOW? The dry pipe systems are in Buildings PVN, PSN, and P.

Page 8 of 13 for PVN shows the standpipe diagram with valves and the dry zone assembly detail. There appear to be 4 risers and a hose valve at each of the 6 levels, plus 5 valves at the loading dock level.

Page 7 of 9 for PSN shows the standpipe diagram with valves. There are 5 standpipes, but there are only 2 valves per standpipe, since the parking garage is only 2 stories

Building P has only 1 dry pipe valve.

2. What are the required frequencies for inspections i.e. Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual or Annual?

Frequencies are as identified in NFPA 25, Table 5.1.1.2, page 25-17, attached.

3. Are Deficiencies found during the inspection and/or service calls billable or will those fall under CLIN 0002 pricing? General maintenance & repair work shall fall under CLIN 0002.

4. Should we include the cost of the 3-year full trips of the dry systems and 5-year internals inspections of the wet pipe sprinkler systems? Yes, these shall be included.

5. Does sprinkler fitter in this contract refer to personnel who have a Denver Fire Sprinkler Installer License? See the Code of Colorado Regulations, attached.

6. Does the responsible managing employee only need to be onsite during the inspections and not the emergency/service work? The State of Colorado does not seem to require that the responsible managing employee to be there every minute, but they are responsible for managing the contract or project.

7. Does the responsible managing employee need to be NICET certified or just licensed in the state in which they are employed in? See the Code of Colorado Regulations, attached.

See attached document: State of CO Fire Protection System oversight.

See attached document: NFPA 25.
