About this file

This is an Amendment to Solicitation issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, extending the quote submission deadline to August 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM CDT and providing government responses to 69 vendor questions regarding surgical lighting system installation.

The solicitation concerns replacement of surgical lights in operating rooms and procedure rooms at the Central Texas VA facility in Temple, Texas. The project requires installation of 28 lightheads across eight operating rooms (OR 107, 108, 110, 118, 119, 121, 122, 124) and three minor procedure rooms, with specific configurations of single and dual boom systems per room. Vendors must provide all mounting components, installation kits, electrical work, patching, and finish restoration. Key requirements include Level IV PCRA/ICRA containment for all rooms, removal of existing lights as part of de-installation, vendor responsibility for structural assessment of existing support infrastructure, and LIM panel certification. Work may occur after-hours and weekends to minimize disruption, with a two-week advance notice requirement for any shutdowns. The government will provide available ceiling, structural, and electrical drawings post-award. Onsite storage is available with weekend accessibility depending on VA coordination. Quotes must remain valid for 120 days. When discrepancies exist between documents, the hierarchy for proposal basis is: government answers to questions, then Statement of Work, then Price/Cost Schedule. The solicitation contract ID is 36C25726Q0441, with administration by Frank Mendoza at the Central Texas Veterans HCS facility.
