This is a product specification and technical data sheet for ELBI Model CISD iron flanged suction diffusers manufactured by ELBI of America, Inc. The document provides comprehensive design specifications, material compositions, dimensional data, and performance parameters for industrial pump suction diffuser equipment.

The CISD series diffusers are designed for direct mounting to pump suction sides in either horizontal or vertical positions and feature cast iron bodies (A126-B material) with integral straightening vanes to reduce flow turbulence. Standard components include FF flanges per ASME B16.1, O-ring sealed knob covers on diffuser sizes 6" and smaller, and O-ring sealed stud/nut covers on larger sizes. Key specifications include a maximum allowable working pressure of 200 PSIG (13.79 bars) for the standard A126-B body material, with upper temperature limits varying by seal material: BUNA-N at 212°F (100°C), EPDM at 250°F (121°C), and Viton at 400°F (204°C). The lower temperature limit for the body material is -20°F (-28.9°C). The document includes detailed dimensional tables covering inlet and outlet configurations ranging from 2" to 12" sizes, with corresponding measurements for all dimensional parameters (A through H), plus weight specifications in pounds and kilograms. Screen open area ratios are provided for various sizes with different mesh configurations, and standard screens feature start-up openings of 0.032 inches (0.8 mm) and permanent openings of 0.045 inches (1.2 mm) for 2"-3" sizes and 0.125 inches (3.2 mm) for 4"-12" sizes.
