The contract requires the vendor to review and separate patient records for destruction, with most records already pre-screened. Approximately 80,000-100,000 lbs of paper will be processed, with about one-third being color paper. On-site shredding is mandatory due to HIPAA requirements, particularly for color paper containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The performance period is approximately three months after award, with potential extension to four months if needed. Work will be conducted Monday-Friday from 0900-1530, using the facility's freight elevator. All film records must be shipped to Hines, IL through government-approved transportation services, requiring a Form 134a VA Transportation and Relocation Services Request. The contract will be a firm fixed unit price, with invoicing possible for the full amount regardless of actual work duration.
