About this file

This document is a set of vendor questions related to VA Solicitation 36C25725R0095 for Air Ambulance services in Amarillo and Big Spring, Texas. The solicitation is for non-emergent air medical transportation services, with orders placed by VA authorized ordering officers and locally approved clinical staff. The services will involve interfacility patient transfers, with ground ambulance services handled differently based on location and time of day - using Amarillo VA ambulance during business hours and requiring the contractor to arrange ground transportation in Big Spring and after hours.

The incumbent contract (36C25724D0073) was valued at $537,300.00, and the new solicitation emphasizes bedside-to-bedside transportation. Key operational requirements include using the Computerized Patient Record System (CPARS) for transfer orders and ensuring that only authorized VA staff can request and initiate patient transports. The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 (VISN 17), indicating a regional-level healthcare transportation procurement.
