Questions and Answers RFQ 36C25723Q0850 Transitional Housing Temple TX Question 1: Will the VA accept an 8-bedroom residential home as a transitional residence? Also, can we have two different locations to fulfill the needed rooms?

Answer 1: Residential housing and two different locations would be acceptable as long as they both pass the VA Multidisciplinary inspection, and they both meet all the requirements of the Performance Work Statement. Documentation for both facilities and personnel shall be submitted with your solicitation response.

Question 2: I saw the contract and would like to verify with you for the housing is that mean 15*365 days with total 5475 units per year?

Answer 2: The Unit of Issue for this requirement is expressed in Days of Service. This is an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for an estimated number of bed days. The estimate is that up to 15 veterans will be housed per day at your facility per year (365 days). If, at the end of the period of performance, the government has not utilized the total number of bed days, the parties agree that they will reduce the scope of the contract with a corresponding adjustment in the total contract price. In no event will the VA pay for bed days not occupied by a Veteran.

Question 3: The water, electricity, sewer will need to provide by contractor or government will offer and pay the water, electricity and sewer with 24 hours and 7 days?

Answer 3: The Offeror shall complete the Schedule of Services with an all-inclusive unit price per day (including all labor, incidental costs including utilities, and insurance premium payments for applicable insurance coverage) for the base and all option periods. Cost not incorporated into the Contractor’s price will not be reimbursed by the Government.

Question 4: Would you be able to assist me with editing solicitation?

Once I open it it’s says click to edit form and still doesn’t allow me to type information?? On right side it says “find Next region I can Edit” and after click on this tab it still doesn’t allows me to enter information.

Answer 4: When the Editing tab is open, there is a “Stop Protection” button on the bottom. Click on it and then under Editing Restrictions, choose “Filling in Forms”. For more information on editing protected documents, see below link:
