About this file
This document contains responses to pre-bid requests for information (RFIs) regarding solicitation number 36C25723B0016 to renovate an eye clinic and ambulatory care service primary care space. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 is seeking proposals from certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses to replace existing nurse call devices, overhead paging speakers, AMAG access control equipment, Axis cameras and related cabling to match current systems and maintain warranties held by the incumbent A-V Corp. Proposers must also provide new Clarity speakers, Responder-5 nurse call parts, Genetec camera licensing and manufactured wood casework per VA specifications. The laydown area will be onsite in the southwestern corner of the property. The response clarifies questions about existing conditions, equipment reuse, and responsibilities for programming and cabling work.

1) Sheet E 102- rooms 119,120,121,122,123,124,125, 132 and 133 all show floor boxes in the middle of the room... but notes 6 and 7 were not assigned to these floor boxes. Was that just a miss or how are we expected to get power there without concrete saw the floor.
VA RFI Response: Sheet Keyed Notes 6 and 7 on Sheet E-102 apply to all floor boxes called for.
2) What survey information is available to determine the level of Asbestos contamination within the SOW?

VA RFI Response: Please see attached finish schedule on sheet IN-401. The finishes needed for bidding should be listed therein per the project design intent. Please disregard specification references regarding new carpeting or for this project.

6) If new speakers are required, will the new speakers need to be Rauland TCU speakers that will be compatible with the existing overhead paging system that was recently replaced and upgraded? (Note: Connections to the new Rauland TCU overhead paging system will to be provided by A-V Corp to avoid voiding any warranty.)

Other spaces that do not fall within the majority of the project and must remain accessible during business hours will need to be worked on during nights/weekends or scheduled.
