IFB # 36C25722B0039 – Amendment # A00004

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #1 — Asbestos Requirement Current Status: Resolved Description: There is a specification for the abatement for this project however the spec given does not have quantities in it. After reviewing Asbestos survey report, it appears that comprehensive survey report would tend to indicate that it doesn’t need abatement for pipe fittings or insulation. Can you please confirm this. If abatement required for this project, then provide us allowance to carry in our bid.

Comments:

it is my understanding that this project does not require any asbestos abatement due to the construction year of the building. However, I cannot say that there is no asbestos in the areas of work. The contractor was supplied with an asbestos report for the building and should use that as their basis for providing any allowances. Any allowances for abatement shall be clearly identified in their bids.

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #2 — Valve Count Current Status: Resolved Description: Yesterday it was mentioned in the walk through that a valve count would be provided by the Engineer. Haven’t seen the valve count? The engineer said that they would provide the individual valve count.

The PRV schedule only reflects the PRV valve count. Not the individual valve count that is reflected on each page of the plans.

Comments:

** Attached is the updated valve quantity schedule. - Mark McComas

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #3 — Backflow Preventer Schedule Current Status: Resolved Description: It looks like we are missing some schedules from the drawings.

Example, Drawing P-500, references a BFP-1 and BFP-2, but we don’t see a schedule of these what we think is Backflow Preventers?

Comments:

BFP SCHEDULE PROVIDED 1. AS PART OF THE ADDENDUM DRAWINGS, P500 - Fred Crabtree

2. Refer to Addendum 01 (Revision 01) drawings uploaded to Centerline today. - Mark McComas

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #4 — Backflow Preventer Specs Current Status: Resolved Description: Another question is we don’t see a specification on the highlighted yellow water meter in the backflow preventer detail on drawing P-500.

Comments:

1. see below meter spec.

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #5 — Valve Schedule DWG Current Status: Resolved Description: On drawing P-500, there is a schedule of PRV’s that need replacing, we can’t find these PRV’s on the drawings. How do we find these based Tag number WPRV ?-?? and location from the plans?

Comments:

There 1. are specific callouts on the plans identifying the location for the PRVs, and the PRV numbers are in the backgrounds. - Fred Crabtree

2. Refer to Addendum 01 (Revision 01) drawings uploaded to Centerline today. - Mark McComas

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #6 — As-Built Clarification Current Status: Resolved Description: Drawing L1-A1-Level One Plan Bldg 2J-A.1, we don’t know what this dashed/squared highlighted yellow lines are telling us. Is this demo piping/valves? We don’t have a drawing with a legend/symbol definition plan.

Comments:

1. line legend will be provided on the addendum drawings. these lines are as built observations that were added in to accommodate additional observed valve locations. – Fred Crabtree

2. Refer to Addendum 01 (Revision 01) drawings uploaded to Centerline today. - Mark McComas

RFI #Pre-Bid RFI #7 — Confined Space Current Status: Resolved Description: Are there going to be any valves replaced that are located within confined spaces?

Comments:

1. Per Campos Engineers, "No known spaces are known to be "confined space" for this project." - Mark McComas
