About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to solicitation 36C25625Q0207, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Office 16, providing answers to nine questions regarding the procurement of Biomed Workstation Furniture.
The amendment clarifies technical specifications, including that the 48" Cabinet is 12" deep and 30" tall, the pegboard should be mounted inside support posts, and the grommet cutout should be placed at the back middle edge of the worksurface. It confirms that the VA will handle electrical planning, an authorized VA representative will be present to receive furniture deliveries, and installation details are included in Attachment 1 Statement of Work. The amendment also clarifies that the contractor must provide on-site operator training if necessary and that installation is a requirement. The deadline for receipt of offers remains December 17, 2024, and no more questions will be accepted.

No. Question Answer
1 How tall and how deep are the - 48" Cabinet - Above Mount 2 DR?
12” Deep & 30” Tall
2 The - 54" Pegboard Mount Bar is actually as long as the 54” desk, however, the overhead (OV) cabinets are 48” and would need to be mounted on the outside of the OV cabinet support posts.
a. Do you wish to have the pegboard fit between the support posts (48”) or extend beyond the posts and mounted on the outside (Back) 54”?
Note: the 54” Accessory bar extends the same length as the pegboard and will leave an unusable gap in the corners of the desk if mounted to the rear. Pegboard can be mounted to the front of the support posts eliminating the gap. Diagram shows pegboard same width as support posts and would be 48” and not 54.” (Top of pegboard and corners will be exposed.
a. Pegboard mounted inside.
3 Regarding the Surface, the diagrams do not show the placement for the “ Grommet Cutout”
a. Do you have a preference (i.e.) rear corner over CPU support?
a. Back middle edge of worksurface.
4 Planning Note: Each desk should be on a separate(dedicated) electrical circuit to ensure 15A for the power strip. Plugging the undermount light in the same outlet will reduce the power strip bar capacity albeit slight. Having more than 1 desk plugged into the same circuits could lead to a nonperformance issue.
a. Clarify?
a. The electrical shop has the outlets handled with planning and design.
5 Will there be someone from the VA there to take possession of furniture once off the truck and be able to store it in a secure location prior to installation?
Yes, Authorized VA Representative
6 Is there a loading dock? Included in Attachment 1 Statement of Work. (SOW)
7 Are the installation points in multiple buildings/floors?
Included in Attachment 1 Statement of Work. (SOW)
36C25625Q0207 0001
8 In block 20 of the solicitation it states, (Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, parts, equipment, permits, testing, installation, and training on all listed furniture).
a. I have been informed there isn't anything to be trained on. Please clarify the request.
Provide on-site operator training of the equipment to authorized government representatives and employees, if necessary.
9 Will it be the awardees obligation to get furniture delivered to the installation point?
Yes, installation is a requirement.
