Contractor Question Government Response
None given Paraphrased: Contractor inquired about the quantity of items that require service. Is the quantity 195 or over 300 which would encompass locations in bathrooms where equipment is located that would require inspection.
The government requires “full circle” inspection and weight testing for each unit and rail system with some minor maintenance that is required on the rail system (i.e.
retightening fixings, stabilizers, end-stops etc.). Some of the railing systems are located in the bathrooms and the bathroom area may include part of the lift system that has “encroached” into this area. Given this information and conditions the quantity of items that would require services (as annotated in the Statement of Work) would be approximately 303 units in total.
None given We are trying to get clarification on the quantity of systems listed in this request for proposal. The quantity listed has the number at 195 but these systems have bathroom access which we would count as a two different systems; one in the patient room and one in the bathroom. That would make the total quantity around 303. We are trying to get our pricing together but need clarification on the quantity of systems that we are inspecting.
Approximately 303 units (including the rail system) will require inspection and weight testing with some minor maintenance that is required on the rail system (i.e. retightening fixings, stabilizers, end-stops etc.). The bathroom areas which contain part of the railing system or lift unit are incorporated as part of the full spectrum of services needed for this acquisition.
