QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Will the Gulf Coast VA provide training if requested for CPR ?

No

2. Does the Gulf Coast VA provide any software for (example applications that are used for tracking vehicles while transporting veterans / beneficiaries etc.?

No

3. How many vehicles were used in Biloxi, MS ,Mobile ,AL, and Pensacola, FL in the past, is expected or is it at the discretion of the contractor ?

3 vehicles per location

4. How many days after the contract is awarded, will services need to go into effect?

Services will begin July 1, 2023.

5. Does the proposal need to be in a specific format?

There is no specific format however section E.1 provides instructions on what to do.

6. Subcontracting- I was unsure how to price the stretcher transportation. I spoke to a few private ambulance companies. I am aware that some of them transport patients to the Biloxi VA hospital. I attempted to obtain a transportation rate. The Director of Operations was unsure as to what the rate would be for stretcher transport. Does the VA pay a flat rate for this service to all ambulance companies?

I am not sure what you are asking. Some patients require a stretcher to transport; what is the price for a flat rate trip to their appointment? Hope this answers your question.

7. Can you provide the current rates for the most recent awarded contract for ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher transportation

Historical contract number is VA256-17-D-0203 36C256-18-N-0041.

Currently we are on a bridge order until a new contract is put in place that number is 36C25623P0737.
