About this file
This document contains responses to pre-bid requests for information (RFIs) for a federal contract opportunity to refurbish an oval drive at a Veterans Affairs medical center. The opportunity is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and involves replacing roadways, parking areas, curbs, gutters, signage, lighting, utilities, and landscaping. The contractor must remove 40 remaining trees as indicated on the drawings, plant new trees of 4-inch diameter, and reuse or match existing tree rings. Temporary striping must be maintained throughout construction. Some interior work will require infection control barriers. The contractor must perform a land survey and relocate the construction entrance as specified. The solicitation will be issued on July 6th with a 120-day acceptance period and bonds required. The project value is between $2-5 million under NAICS code 237310.
