Q2. Page 10 of the solicitation states “Where applicable, all persons employed in a trade, craft, or profession that is licensed by state or local authorities shall have appropriate licenses prior to performing any contract work.” Please confirm that this requirement includes NEIEP certification as well as an elevator license from the State of Mississippi.

Q3. The SF1449 box 8 indicates that offers are due on September 12, 2021 at 11:59 PM CDT. However, September 12, 2021 is a Sunday. Can the VA clarify the date and time that bids are due?

Q4. Page 11 of the solicitation states “The contractor shall subcontract a third-party inspector for all annual, semiannual and five year tests at no cost to the Government.” Typically it is considered a conflict of interest for the elevator maintenance contractor to hire an inspector for these tests. Please confirm that the VA would like the awarded contractor to hire their own 3rd party inspector based on this information.
A4. Yes we need an independent third party inspector contracted by the elevator maintenance contractor.
Q5. How do I schedule a visit to the site to look at the elevators?
A5. Contact the COR, Willard Rushing 601-364-1534 Willard.Rushing@va.gov . His information can be found in the RFQ on P22 in the Mark For section of the Delivery Schedule.
