15. AE601 door schedule. During the walkthrough the COR was asked about integrated doors and he mentioned that there were not any in the project. The door schedule reflects “integral” for 22 different doors. The legend displays that an Integrated door assembly is marked as ID. Does the integral in the remark’s column indicate that it’s an integrated door assembly?

A: Bid as shown.

New Response:

A:. Where the door schedule calls for “integrated hold open,” in the Remarks Column, this refers to the door closer mechanism having integral hold-open functionality. The use of the word “integrated” in the Remarks Column shall NOT be taken as meaning the full door assembly itself is an Integrated Door Assembly. That is, the designator ID (Integrated Door Assembly), found in the Remarks Legend, is not applicable to any door assemblies in this project. COR has confirmed there are no Integrated Door Assemblies within the project scope. Where restrooms having Door Type D1 are located, the scheduled accessible latch-sets with occupancy indicators are integral to the sliding door panel (latch-sets provided by door panel manufacturer). Otherwise, Contractor to provide door hardware per published Hardware Sets in the Project Specifications, where each hardware item can be procured and assembled at site for full door assembly.
