Danette Rene' Impey Contracting Officer Questions to Site Visits for RFQ 36C25619Q1491

1. Biloxi site visits, vendor mentioned the customer stated he wanted the exterior of the vent work cleaned also and the VA would allow the use of their manlift to keep costs down. This external cleaning was not part of the SOW. Does the VA wish to add the external cleaning of the vent ducting for the Biloxi location?

The exterior cleaning is not mentioned in the original SOW, neither is the use of the manlift. Therefore, this work is not required.

1. Will this be done once or twice per year (external cleaning of the duct)?

Not applicable.

1. Please confirm the contractor can use the manlift.

Not applicable.

1. The VA has an Ansul system. Is Ansul certification required for inspection and are Ansul parts required or can generic parts be used?

The Ansul system language is not in the contract, but Hood Suppression Testing is in the contract, which is the Ansul system. The Ansul certification is required every six months (semi-annually). Ansul parts are not required, but the replacement parts must be ANSI approved and USA made.
