About this file
This is a Sources Sought Notice issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 for market research purposes regarding the procurement of ultrasound transducers for the Harry S. Truman Veterans' Memorial Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
The notice solicits information from potential qualified vendors capable of supplying two specific Philips ultrasound transducers: the L12-5 Transducer for endocrinology applications with a frequency range of 5-12 MHz, broad bandwidth linear array, approximately 38mm field of view, and support for Doppler and needle visualization modes; and the L15-7io Transducer for rheumatology applications with a frequency range of 7-15 MHz, compact linear array with hockey stick design, and high axial resolution optimized for joint procedures and procedural guidance. Both transducers must be compatible with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems. The requirement is driven by the need to improve diagnostic and procedural accuracy in the Endocrinology and Rheumatology clinics for thyroid fine needle aspirations and joint injections, as no current imaging equipment provides this capability.
Responses are due by August 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM Central Time and should include company information, UEI number, GSA contract details if applicable, a capability statement, product brochures with specifications, and an authorized distributor letter from the OEM. The solicitation number is 36C25526Q0594, and the point of contact is Contracting Officer Tywanna Sparks at tywanna.sparks@va.gov or 913-758-9928. Interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and complete electronic representations and certifications to be considered.
