About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) seeking to procure a Guerbet OptiStar Elite MRI Contrast Injector for the Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois. The solicitation (36C25525Q0424) requires a new MRI contrast injection system to replace an end-of-life cycle device, specifically compatible with a GE Signa Artist 1.5 MRI Scanner. Key requirements include a brand new device manufactured within one year of purchase, with mandatory training and installation, and a trade-in option for the existing equipment.

The technical specifications are detailed, requiring compatibility with specific prefilled syringes (DOTAREM contrast and saline), supporting various syringe sizes and flow rates, and featuring advanced capabilities such as six injection phases, 40 programmable protocols, MR compatibility up to 3 Tesla, and a patency test mode. The procurement includes a base service contract with four optional maintenance years. The solicitation is set for response by 06-18-2025 at 08:00 Central Time, with the point of contact being Timothy Scarborough from the VA Network Contracting Office in Leavenworth, Kansas.
