· THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to gain knowledge and determine the availability and interest of vendors for NAICS 339950 – Sign Manufacturing. The Department of Veteran Affairs VISN 15 is conducting market research to determine potential sources having the skills, capabilities, experience, and bonding capacity to perform the described work. No award will be made from this Sources Sought. No solicitation, specifications, or drawings are available; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for an anticipated future acquisition.
Sign Replacement and Maintenance Service The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, and equipment to perform the signs replacement and maintenance program.
- Planning: Creation of a thorough and comprehensive schedule, scheme, and preliminary research to allot for successful deliverables and innovative solutions based on the needs of VASTLHCS.
- Audit: Creation of a signage database that will feature correct and verified information of the interior room identifications and exterior signage program for VASTLHCS. Identify any signs that could be kept if applicable.
- Programming: From the creation of the audit, the contractor will identify and condense the sign types and create an interchangeable solution that allows VASTLHCS the ability to update only certain components of the sign.
- Design Development Solutions: Contractor will have to develop innovative solutions for the various sign types for VASTLHCS. Contractor will also need to develop directional way-finding programming, supergraphics for lobbies and elevator banks, improve site circulation in the exterior environment for parking/driving cues, building identification, identify threats and weaknesses that affect the fluidity of the VASTLHCS to streamline solutions. All solutions should be thoroughly discussed with the Contracting Officer Representative/Interior Designer (COR/ID).
- Execution: Contractor will establish a turnkey project to fabricate the approved signage program. remove existing signage and install the new signage and wayfinding program. Contractor will coordinate with the COR/ID to establish a schedule for installation that will refrain from disrupting patient care.
- Option Years: Contractor will continue the planning, auditing, programing, design development solutions, & execution related to maintaining proper signage and wayfinding if given option years 1, 2, 3, & 4.
The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government.
The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statements regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein.
Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with a Capabilities statement. Submission of a Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Department of Veteran Affairs in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. After completing its analysis, the Government will determine whether to limit competition among any specific socio-economic category. All interested contractors should notify this office via email by 10:00 A.M Central Standard time on February 24, 2025. Responses must include the sources sought number and title in the subject line of their email response.
