About this file
This document provides questions and answers regarding RFQ 36C25524Q0092 for home sleep apnea testing services. The St. Louis VA Medical Center requires vendors to deploy home sleep study equipment to patients, retrieve it, and have data reviewed by a registered polysomnography technician prior to returning results to the ordering provider. While the performance period outlined in the RFQ begins January 3, 2024, vendors requested an updated start date of March 1, 2024 or later due to the response and award timeline. The VA agreed to a preferred start date of no later than February 1, 2024 to obtain these important services.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR RFQ 36C25524Q0092
1. Is it required to have the polysomnography technician deliver the home sleep study equipment if they have educated the patient via the initial phone call?
All equipment/training/delivery/retrieval will be done by the Vendor. No VA staff involved.
2. Could another employee other than the polysomnography technician make the deliver if they have been trained by the manufacturer of the home sleep study equipment? Yes.
All equipment should be deployed by vendor and retrieved by the vendor.
3. In the general requirements (#4), it specifies that the study must be scored by a Registered Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT). My question is to better define this requirement. Does the site need access to the raw data for their RPSGT ability to score, or is the site requiring that the data from the study be reviewed by an RPSGT from the testing company prior to release back to the ordering location? Site requires data to be reviewed, then sent to Dr. Hassan for evaluation.
4. The POP “Begin date” noted in the RFQ is 1/3/2024. With offers not due until 1/4/24, and allowing time for your office to evaluate offers, award a contract, and allow the selected awardee a reasonable start-up period, we request a revised POP Begin date of March 1, 2024, or whatever you feel an appropriate Begin date to be under the circumstances.
These Services are needed as soon as possible, but NLT February 01, 2024, is preferred.
