THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.

The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research to determine if there are infusion pumps that can meet the requirements of the Madison VAMC Mission.

General Requirements:

Salient Characteristics:

"1.Must Be a large volume infusion pump that must continuously or intermittently deliver fluids, medications, blood and blood products to patients."
"2.The infusion system must support attachments of up to four independent large-volume infusion modules on a single host unit, allowing four separate infusions to be delivered simultaneously. This multi-channel capacity is required to enhance patient safety by reducing the need for multiple infusion pumps, decreasing risk of line-tracing errors, and minimizing trip hazards. The system must provide a smaller, consolidated bedside footprint to eliminate the need for multiple IV poles, supporting safer workflows in crowded clinical environments."
"3.Must be able to create customizable care-area profiles and drug libraries with dosing limits and safety alerts to prevent medication errors."
"4.Must be of modular design to allow for the integration of multiple modules, including large volume pump (LVP), syringe pump, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), epidural infuser, operating through a single point of care."
"5.Must provide smart pump technology for detecting and preventing medication errors, including real-time alerts and detailed data logs events for compliance and auditing purposes."
"7.Must have the capabilities for wireless connectivity to hospital networks for real-time updates, bar code scanning, remote monitoring, and integration with EMRs, including ORACLE HEALTH."
"8.Must be high precision in delivering accurate flow rates and calculated volumes, ensuring consistent and precise medication administration. "
"9.Must have both visual and audible alarms for various conditions such as occlusion, air-in-line, low battery, empty container, and more to ensure patient safety."
"10.Must have long lasting battery life designed to support continuous operation during transport and in areas without immediate access to power outlets."
"11.Must have the compatibility to be mounted on a range of stands, poles, and mounting brackets to fit different clinical settings and workflows."
"12.Must have comprehensive reporting, event logging of infusion data and events, analytic capabilities across all connected modules which can be reviewed and analyzed for quality improvement and regulatory compliance."
"13.Must have the option for bolus delivery and “keep vein open” settings to maintain IV access and ensure continuous care."
"14.Must have programming versatility for advanced programming options including continuous, intermittent, and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) modes."
"15.Must have safety enhancement features for anti-free-flow, occlusion detection, and pressure monitoring to ensure safe and reliable performance."
"16.Must include a service computer program for preventive and corrective maintenance for testing and calibrating specific components, pressures, and volumes of infusion pumps."
