About this file
This is a Special Notice announcing a sole source contract intent for equipment maintenance services. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), on behalf of the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, intends to negotiate exclusively with Biosense Webster for Accelerated Solutions Agreement (ASA) maintenance services covering Carto3, TruPulse, and nGEN equipment and software. The procurement is justified under 41 U.S.C. 1901 simplified acquisition procedures, as Biosense Webster is the only authorized vendor qualified to service these machines and no other source can satisfy the agency's requirements. This represents sustainment of an existing service rather than a new acquisition.
The contract will be structured as firm fixed price with a one-year base period and two optional one-year renewals. The NAICS code is 811210 (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a $34.0 million business size standard. Interested vendors must submit written notification to Contracting Officer Joni Dorr at joni.dorr@va.gov by 10:00 AM Central Time on Friday, April 10, 2026, accompanied by supporting evidence demonstrating capability to meet requirements, including an original equipment manufacturer letter confirming authorized service vendor status per VAAR Clause 852.212-71(c). No solicitation documents are available, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete this procurement based on submitted responses.
