About this file
This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intent to award a sole source contract for Avigilon Camera/Video Management System upgrades and license renewals for police services at the Illiana VA Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. The VA intends to award the contract to scDataCom LLC, located in Savannah, Georgia, as the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the requirement. The scope includes security camera upgrades and installation services, with the primary rationale being that scDataCom currently maintains the existing video management system and integration with new equipment will ensure continuity of service. The applicable NAICS Code is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees.
Interested parties may submit written notice of their interest and capability to respond by 5:00 PM Central Time on March 9, 2026, to Contracting Officer Erica Grimslid at erica.grimslid@va.gov. Supporting evidence must demonstrate the ability to meet the requirement and be submitted at no cost to the Government. Responses must include clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. No solicitation documents are currently available. The VA reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award regardless of responses received. All inquiries must be submitted via email; telephone requests will not be accepted.
