About this file
This document is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regarding their intent to conduct a sole source procurement for a Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Injection System. The VA's Milwaukee facility uses the Electrophysiology (EP) lab as a backup to the Cardiac Catheterization lab, and continuity of this capability is critical. The current Cardiac Catheterization lab uses a Bayer Injection System, but the EP lab does not have a similar system. The VA has determined that 1st American Medical Distributors, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is the only authorized distributor that can meet this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334510 (Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing). Responses to this notice will be used to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted, but the decision to not compete this acquisition is at the Government's discretion. Questions and comments should be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Waymon McNeal, by email no later than May 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm Central Time.
