2. LCD Display: All measurements, set point, and program data accessed through the keypad shall be digitally indicated on a liquid crystal display (LCD). Individual screens of information shall be displayed for the following functions with menu prompts/commands prompting the operator to change set points and access the program operating data. Individual screens of information shall be provided for nominal operation, conductivity set points, alarm status, feed limit timers, calibration, temperature set points, drum levels, real clock time, and digital inputs.

3. Conductivity Monitor shall provide linear, temperature compensated measurements over the full minimum range of 0-5,000 micromhos. Accuracy shall be 1% of reading with a hysteresis of± 40 micromhos over a temperature compensated range of 5-60 degrees.

4. All equipment installed for treatment of water and glycol systems shall be calibrated monthly to ensure their proper operation.

B. Display resolution shall be 10 micromhos. Sampling rate shall be once per hour. Control set points shall be adjustable. Bleed-off shall be controlled in the following manner:

1. Standard Operation: Conductivity controller actuates solenoid bleed-off valve when cooling tower water system dissolved solids level reaches or exceeds the set point.

2. Biocide Operation: A secondary bleed-off set point will be used to lower system conductivity levels prior to biocide feed. This circuitry will ensure increased bleed-off prior to biocide feed so that the dissolved solids levels will not rise above standard operation set point during biocide feed, when bleed-off lockout timer is activated.

3. In both operating modes, an independent bleed limit timer with alarm shall safeguard against excessive bleed-off.

C. The pH monitor shall provide linear, temperature compensated measurements over the full range of 0-14 pH. Accuracy shall be 0.1 pH units with a hysteresis of± 0.15 over a temperature compensated range of 5-60 degrees C. Display resolution shall be 0.05 pH units. Sampling rate shall be once per hour. Control set points shall be adjustable. High set point for acid feed, low set point for caustic feed. Provide bleed lockout on pH.

D. Chemical Feed Controls: Each of the three chemical feeds for each controller shall be capable of operating in one of the following modes and shall be independently field programmable:

1.Traced Chemical Technology: Chemical is fed based on input from probe reading real-time chemical levels

2. Percentage Timer: Chemical is fed on an adjustable time-proportioning basis initiated by bleed-off.

3. Counter/Timer: Chemical is fed proportional to make-up water rate. A water meter with an electric contractor shall pulse a solid-state reset counter with an adjustable range of 0-99 counts. Completion of counter cycle will initiate solid-state reset timer for chemical feed with an adjustable range of 0-10 minutes.

4. Clock Timer: Chemical feed is programmed by a 24-hour timer with 1-, 7-, or 28-day repeating cycle. Each chemical feed interval will be programmed for start time and duration with up to 16 intervals per function.

G. Alarms: Controller shall alarm high and low conductivity, bleed limit, chemical feed limit, no flow, chemical drum empty, and low battery. Controller shall provide emergency stop to stop all chemical feeds; flash "emergency stop" display, sound keypad buzzer, and close common alarm relay dry contacts to provide remote alarm at Building Automation System (BAS).

H. Operating Data History: Controller shall retain in memory all operating data for the following parameters.

1.The minimum, maximum, and average of all analog input data shall be recorded each hour for the previous 24 hours and each day for the previous seven days.

2.The first and last occurrence of each alarm condition shall be recorded including the day and time of each occurrence for the previous seven days.

3.The daily total running time in hours and minutes shall be recorded for bleed-off and all chemical feeds. The water flow volume in gallons of water through the water meters shall be recorded on both a daily and cumulative basis.

I. Drum Level Monitoring: Each chemical drum used shall be monitored by an electronic drum level sensor or with a manual float.
