About this file

This special notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs announces the agency's intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Starboard Industries for security camera equipment and maintenance services at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. The contract would provide for the installation of Avigilon security cameras, video analytics software, intercom systems, detectors and related equipment. It would also cover a two-year preventative maintenance and repair plan for all installed equipment. Responses from other contractors are due by May 14, 2021 to provide evidence of the ability to meet the requirements, including servicing Avigilon equipment to the manufacturer's specifications, but the notice states the decision to pursue a sole source is at the agency's discretion. The contract would be fixed-price with a period of performance through May 2023.
