About this file
This document is a Special Notice for a sole source procurement by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Ann Arbor Healthcare System. The VA intends to purchase replacement monitors for a Skytron SkyVision Ascend IP TAVR Video Integration Unit in the Cardiology Department's TAVR Lab Room E-747. The procurement is specifically for Skytron LLC of Grand Rapids, MI, with a firm fixed-price purchase order anticipated. The replacement equipment is critical because it is the only system that can integrate with existing Skytron surgical equipment, including surgical and wall displays, lights, and in-light surgical cameras.
Key procurement details include Solicitation Number 36C25026Q0203, with responses due by January 9, 2026, at 4:30 PM Eastern Time. The procurement falls under NAICS code 339112 and Product Service Code 6515. The VA asserts that only Skytron possesses the required capabilities to meet the requirement, justifying the sole source approach. The installation will involve deinstalling non-functioning equipment and installing new monitors and fiber optic cabling by an authorized Skytron Ascend IP equipment installer.
