Special Notice
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Electrometer
The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334517 with a small business size standard of 1,200 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Standard Imaging, 3120 Deming Way, Middleton, WI 53562 for an electrometer.
The acquisition is for a MAX 4000 Plus Electrometer with accessories for use in the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System Radiation Oncology Department. The electrometer provides highly accurate measurements of current, charge, and voltage for radiation dosimetry applications, supporting clinical calibration and quality assurance. This purchase replaces an outdated end-of-life electrometer no longer supported by the manufacturer and ensures continued compliance with treatment accuracy standards. The package includes the MAX 4000 Plus Electrometer, a protective carrying case, and a calibration electrometer to maintain reliable operation and measurement consistency. Shipping and handling are also included to complete delivery and setup.
Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
