About this file
This document is an Amendment to Solicitation for a roof repair project at a Department of Veterans Affairs facility. The solicitation (36C25025Q0588) is for repairing Roof 36 at facility 583-25-514, located in VA Network 10. Key project specifications include using silicon or polyurethane-based sealants and coatings, repairing or replacing non-compliant flashings, and relocating communication equipment and support structures during the roof work.
The amendment includes detailed questions and answers clarifying project requirements, such as software tools (Procore and Primavera P6 are approved), tax-exempt status, utility usage, and project logistics. Notable terms include a 14-calendar day submittal review period, potential for on-site storage, use of existing utilities at no charge, and a required 5-year manufacturer's warranty. The contractor will need to have an OSHA Competent Person on-site, re-certify the lightning protection system, and coordinate closely with the VA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) throughout the project. The exact award date remains undefined, but the VA aims to issue the Notice to Proceed within 14 calendar days of award.
